Another stage of our Spring cup was finished yesterday and we are ready to publish results. Overall, there were fewer people this time. By the way Twitch stream was performed by Kpoluk, Youtube stream was provided by lxr and there was another one person who helped us a lot - Saverona :) As in previous cup there was some problems with lags, but i think in next cup we will have plan B to fix problems as fast as possible.

Today we are finishish Offline Tournament #15 and at the same time opening registration for KZ-Rush Spring Cup #1 Stage #3. Cup will be held on Sunday (May, 17), at 19:00 by Moscow time (UTC+3). If more than 16 players come, we create second group, which play right after first group finishes all maps. To participate write "I'm in" or + here in comments.

Cup gameplay:

• Each map is played once.
• After map change you will see menu where you should confirm that you are ready. As soon as everyone is ready, cup admin initiates start. You don't need to press start button, but you have to press the finish (unless maximum time has expired).
• There are hidden checkpoints placed all over the map. If maximum map time is over and you haven't reached the finish, server will suppose that you passed the map with maximum time plus some addition, based on number of remaining checkpoints. If more than one player have the same last checkpoint, server will take in consideration the order of reaching it.
• If you die then you will be teleported somewhere at the middle of your path (number of last checkpoint is divided by two).
• Passing time will be automatically turned into points just like on main servers (article about points system). Points on maps (and on cups) are summed. At the end of the season players will take prizes.

Sat_howtoadventure was added to the Hard server. It had 6 disappearing blocks (func_wall_toggle), now they appear after map change and stay solid (corresponding triggers were removed). Route is a bit different from lan, but difficulty is pretty the same.

rn_bhop_longjumpz was removed from servers, we have a constant crash on it (it's related to textures but we cannot fix it).

Since May 2 we had massive lags on servers and following crashes, and yestreday we've found the reason. Turns out it's a leak in standard semiclip code, means we had it from the very beginning. A few years ago we just bought more memory for our servers to avoid these lags, but after relocation we faced them again. Now fix is uploaded and we became one step closer to a stable game.

Between two stages of Cup we suggest you to join fifteenth Offline Tournament which is held on a new community map - newage_ar1:


Work on the map was started quite long ago, but was postponed, and now authors finally finished it. GoodBeetle created architecture of rooms and lxr compiled them together, designed and finalized the map. It was supposed to be long, but was split into two parts, so it's more fitting for tournament.

As usual there is a special tournament upload. The last day when demos are still accepted is May, 13.

All rules for demos without checkpoints apply. Prizes are the same - first three places receive 500, 300 and 200 rubles, all participants get VIPs.
