It’s time to add some new maps for the website and for the servers! Besides the default reviews on new Cosy and XJ maps we have finally decided to add some AXN maps! As usual, you can find the screenshots, difficulties and everything you need in the map profile. Well, let’s start with the updates!
Accepted maps:

mls_wintercliff
mls_hb_MuneEbIzBaCk - it was mentioned before that maps which could be done under the ~1:15 timeline are not usually going to be accepted. But this time around, we have made an exception for our famous newcomer
speed_ytt_hexahedron_fix - no hp booster, no hp regen, well.. at least it’s not a bhop map, sort of. Still, there not that much of a room to fall in
mls_cave_ez - it’s kinda tricky the way teleports work here. In the very first room teleport is basically a fireplace but in every other room it’s not. Hence the question - what da hell? Oh by the way, you also have to complete a hard ass slide to get back to the start. Good luck with that
mls_sandbhop - at the start of the map, bhop blocks are not going all the way down to the ground. But then they do. Oh and yeah, it’s the same old story with the fireplaces and teleports, just like on mls_cave_ez
mls_snowvalley - it’s rather a questionable construction made right at the beginning of the map. At one hand we have a big ass clip brush which covers the shortcut. On another hand we have a teleport which not only covers an entire river but also one of it’s banks
bhop_unithop - The map was made for our community but the mapper himself didn’t get in touch with us and simply said that it was done when he was actually done. Well, the maps itself is a bit short, there is a “texture confrontation” in the first room near the ladder. Still, no critical mistakes were made so we decided to accept this one. And yeah, it would be nice for the mapper to contact us before creating any other maps for our community.
kz_1woman_edzika - muJik’s map. Do we have to type anything here? A top notch map with a top notch design/jumps/textures and ofcourse - atmosphere

Rejected maps:
kzlyy_purple - it’s not that great for the NO CHECKPOINT run and at the same time it’s very short for the CHECKPOINT run. If the mapper can add at least couple of more levels then we will accept it for sure. By the way, it’s super easy to jump out of the map borders since there are none. TeleportsCounter - 0
kzlyy_gottka - the first room have a huge ass gap in bhop jumps and the actual timings of it. Second and third room both have texture issues on bhop part; the hp booster stands out from the overall map conception; the last room teleport have 0 design in it (why there is any teleport btw? first two rooms are connected anyway); you also can’t get your ass to the start room when you’re done with the map; the map is not “closed”, you can easily fly away out of it with a +hook
bhop_pasable - no hp booster while we can fall down and lose plenty of hp? = not good. Spinning construction are sure interesting but you can lose the bhop momentum while waiting for it which is crucial for a map like this
kztw_mysticbhop - the difficulty is not balanced on the very last jump. Texture issues on bhop parts. One of the blocks are moving into the wrong direction (it’s definitely not a map feature but an actual bug). There is a huge clip brush for no reason at the end of the map. Teleports are way too big on some of the slopes
hb_MuneEbIzBaCk - way too short
kzbg_ytt_lavaspeed - way too short. The mapper still managed to leave such a huge gap on such a short map. Here,

AXN
Speaking of AXN. First of all, let’s remind you that we have an article which explains basic principles of AXN and how they work in our KZ-RUSH LAN server. On some of the maps you can notice a sign which says - “This map was meant to be played with 130fps”. It is still unknown what mapper wanted to implement by allowing 130fps on the map but our rules does not allow you to use 100+ fps. That is why some of the slides on those maps might be challenging for you.
We can not add this maps to our gaming servers because AXN requires a specific module which can lead to performance issues on the server. That means that maps are accepted for the website recording only. Oh by the way, there will be a special "AXN" button in the record list page to make your life easier.
Last but not least, we should mention our usual map acceptance criterias were changed for the AXN maps. Because of the high speed, some maps could be done in no time. We had to close our eyes on it and accept the maps even if they have some serious flaws.

bhop_ctm_minecraft_fix - texture issues on bhop blocks; apparently, AXN mappers doesn’t like hp boosters even though they can come in handy sometimes
bhop_ctm_mountain - a nice example of a repetitive map with a good overall concept. No hp booster but there are so many variations of how you can play this one. Sometimes HP booster puts you in a tough position and put some sort of a limit of how you can skip some parts. There also another feature of reverse bhop. Some small blocks are not going down but the platform in front of them does. That gives you an opportunity to keep your speed up during an entire run

bhop_rock_darhz - countless rooms with the same repetitive jumps and an empty room with rock wallpapers in it
bhop_ramp_old - how does it differ from bhop_m_ramp_old? No hp regen? Well, it’s obvious which one we should pick

What I think would be the right thing is, if you accept this map as AXN here on KZ Rush, to not put "WR" next to the demo. But as I said, it's currently on Cosy Climbing since 2014 as non-AXN.
