News on the latest build - not long ago it became possible to use our lan pack with it, and although I still recommend switching to the steam_legacy version, in this release for the first time a demo recorded on a new build was uploaded. In addition to the changed physics of interaction with objects, the sv_rollangle
setting raised concerns, but apparently it is enough to require that it be set to zero, and under this condition, the use of the new build is also allowed (corresponding changes have been made to recording rules).
Update: seems like new build has different physics of fall boosts, so there is a chance it'll be prohibiteted in the end. Right now we're discussing it in democheckers chat. Please do not take risks and record demos on steam_legacy for now.
Also this week I made a small update to lj stats (in the lan pack, on servers and in the public version): since with sgs (stand-up ground strafing) cannot be done in less than 3 FOG, such dds are now recognized as minloss, that is, they are colored by default in blue. In addition, when sliding at the bottom of an inclined surface, slip prestrafe won't be spammed anymore.
And finally let's add a new community map
rush_ghostwire by
CrayFish, based on the game
Ghostwire: Tokyo. Bhop stages run along the Asian district, filled with all sorts of decorative elements, including signs and traditional lanterns mixed with neon lighting. Thanks to
inactive,
hfour and
abubas for checking the map. I defined the difficulty as average-hard, so the map goes to the Hard server, and it is also available for recording demos on the website, enjoy the game everyone! :)
Sorry for 2x comment.
very good atmosphere , design and gameplay (if we exclude those surfs ofc xd)
