KZ-Rush Winter Mapping Contest

The New Year begins with a new map! 🎄

We are excited to announce the KZ-Rush Winter Mapping Contest. This time, simply adding a few snowy textures will not be enough: the theme of the contest is New Year, with all its lights, decorations, festive atmosphere, and sense of wonder.

Your task is to create a brand-new map that follows the contest theme and meets the KZ-Rush requirements. It could be a cosy snow-covered town, a festive course through the mountains, a New Year toy factory, or a completely different world. What matters most is that your map captures the spirit of the holiday and offers an enjoyable experience for players.

Deadline

The first playable version of your map must be submitted through our upload system no later than November 15.

It does not have to be the final polished version. We are deliberately leaving enough time for testing, feedback, and revisions so that the best maps can be included in our big New Year release announcement.

All contest entries must comply with the standard KZ-Rush minimum requirements and mapping guidelines:

When submitting your map, please clearly state that it is an entry for the Winter Mapping Contest.

Choosing the Winner

The winner will be determined by the results of an open community vote.

When voting, community members are encouraged to consider:
* how well the map fits the New Year theme;
* the quality and originality of its visual design;
* how interesting its route and gameplay elements are;
* its overall technical quality;
* the overall experience of playing the map.

More information about the voting process will be published closer to the end of the contest.

Prize

The winner will receive a cash prize. We are still finalising the exact amount, and further details will be announced later.

Unfortunately, we are currently able to transfer cash prizes only to participants residing in Russia. Mappers from other countries are still welcome to enter the contest under the same conditions, but we are unable to arrange international prize payments at this time.

How to Participate

1. Create a map based on the New Year theme.
2. Upload its first playable version to KZ-Rush by November 15.
3. State in the description that the map is intended for the Winter Mapping Contest.
4. Follow the review process and be prepared to make any necessary revisions.
