We had no AXN run in Rush of the Week yet, so now it's time to correct it. zmokiE presents you a run by MaVo^ on speedrun_zedorich right from this release:


And some news from the latest updates on our main servers:

• Some time ago Radioactive reported that player can stuck in start button while trying to press it, if someone is standing nearby. It turned out that it was caused by the code of semiclip allowing to see nicks of other players. Thus now there won't be such stuck anymore, but you also won't see nicks if someone alive standing near you.
• Periodically we've had complaints about VIP players. The forced rtv and changed map because of additional weight of their votes. It wasn't a real problem while we had a few dozen of players in leagues, but now there are ten times more of them, so I had to introduce a correction. From now if player forced rtv or extended the map with help of this VIP, he won't get additional weight of vote until the map is changed.
• Another important theme is savepos. The thing is that connection of servers with database storing records and saveposes deteriorates from time to time. If you finished map when there was no connection, your record is stored locally on server, and later special script will put in database. However savepos is a different matter. You can be sure that it's saved successfully if you see message in chat and your run is paused. It means savepos is put in database and server received a confirmation about it. When player relies on automatic savepos, it can be lost cause of bad connection, and player won't even realize it until he connects next time. For these cases I've devised a reserve savepos that is stored on server locally. When server sends request for savepos, this file is created, and once server receives positive answer, file's deleted. Hence if there was no answer, file stays and will be used next time player joins the map. Here you should understand that it won't help you in case of lost connection between you and server or in cause of server crash, cause disconnect won't be triggered and automatic savepos won't work.
• And one more thing about savepos - we had cases when player pauses his run on VIP server, and while he was afk the time of VIP server was up, and he lost the run. Of course it's better to use savepos instead of pause on VIP server, but just to be safer I've added a forced savepos that will happen 5 seconds before the time is up.

We've gained quite a lot of content during this week, so let's start with a new Rush of the Week. The turn to make a video has reached our moviemaker Lifestealer+ and he did a great job, check his diversified intro. He gets 300 rubles and our praise for his work. Also we have two new extreme community maps. First one is sdmz_odium_x by sadamaza, which was checked in our upload by HaMMa and mls.


The second map zw_greenfairy was uploaded year ago, but had some problems with fps caused by open spaces. Recently its author ZewA came back and finished his impressive work. Even if this map is too hard for you, I advice you at least to check its cool design and spec someone on extreme server.


LAN server was updated up to version 4.6.9. Fixed weapon names in top10 (thanks to MaVo^ for report), timer now has new option Hidden in settings, and lj stats had a few minor corrections plus new cvar ljs_jof_xy for showing two jumpoffs when jumping towards two edges (this changes are result of interaction with topoviygus). Two news concerning bans. Firstly Nucleo-Gamers was unbanned on the site - although some of his old demos have a few questionable signs, he was able to record new demos with similar runs while I was spectating him, and these new demos are clear. In his case this will be enough to allow him to record. Secondly another account of inspare pennyS was permanently banned, all his server records were removed. This time he lasted longer, but still got a few automatic bans.

Today we add maps from last XJ and Cosy releases. Some maps didn't make cause of their length, from the rest only bhop_c21 wasn't added - one can stand on bhop blocks of the last bhop stage, and even if it was fixed this stage still would be harder than all previous stages. Also since we are going to add siren_synergy and siren_synergy_h, which are fixed versions of kzcn_synergy and kzcn_synergy_h, it makes sense to exclude old maps from recording list (there weren't used on servers anyway). And special thanks to HaMMa for helping on hb_k1nomoto, after all I had to classify it as extreme cause of a few jumps.
